PRETORIA - The man credited with cracking the Senzo Meyiwa murder case open now fears a statement he claims was fabricated could ignite animosity, or even bloodshed, between families back home.
Absalom Zungu faced cross-examination in the High Court in Pretoria over a 2019 statement.
In it, the police say he implicated two accused men.
But Zungu now flatly denies ever making such a statement.
Instead, he accuses his son, state witness Constable Sizwe Zungu, of conspiring with investigators.
His cross-examination continues on Tuesday.
