MTHATHA - Protesters against illegal immigration have vowed not to be silenced, despite mounting intimidation.
Some admit to facing threats, intimidation, and even arson attacks on their homes.
Activist Ngizwe Mchunu’s home was allegedly torched at the weekend. Many suspect the crime is linked to the controversial former DJ’s stance on undocumented migrants.
He is not alone as other activists marched through Mthatha in the Eastern Cape, venting their frustrations regarding illegal immigration in the country.
Some calling for the mass deportation of undocumented foreign nationals say they’re now learning the hard way.

They said they’re facing suspected retaliation aimed at silencing them.
Protesters handed a memorandum to the King Sabata Dalindyebo Local Municipality.
They also issued a desperate plea for authorities to ensure that foreign-owned businesses are not allowed to operate as they please.
Activists are planning more protests in the Eastern Cape on Wednesday.
Protest leaders have vowed to keep demanding the removal of undocumented migrants until government takes swift action.
