BHISHO - The Bhisho Hospital in the Eastern Cape has no water or electricity.
It's relying on a hired generator after a hailstorm hit Buffalo City earlier this week.
The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa accuse the hospital management of neglecting patients.
Patients, speaking anonymously, say the situation's dire.
They say they went three days without water last week, and the hailstorm made things worse.
Some fed-up patients discharged themselves, saying it's pointless to stay in such conditions.
The Eastern Cape health department confirms they're aware of the issues facing the hospital.
Department spokesperson Siyanda Manana claims the hospital is fully functioning.
He says Buffalo City municipality regularly refills the nine water tanks.
