PRETORIA - The Border Management Authority says technology will drive its festive season safety plan.
As the authority ramps up detection and seizure efforts, Commissioner Mike Masiapato is promising a crackdown on narcotics, illicit goods and stolen vehicles.
Unveiling the BMA's festive season plans, Masiapato says his team is targeting illegal migration and smuggling.
He warns: Anyone caught breaking the law at border posts will face the full might of the law.
The BMA says it’s working with neighbouring countries to keep the border area crime-free.
Masiapato says the authority has forged key partnerships to better manage ports of entry this season.
