DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal authorities are appealing to public transport operators to prioritise the regular upkeep of their vehicles and ensure they are roadworthy.
This is in the wake of yet another deadly bus crash in the province, this time in Othongathi.
Three people died and several others were injured.
Brake failure is being investigated as a possible cause of the crash.
Officials are also questioning if speed was a contributing factor.
Fourteen victims of the bus crash remain in hospital in critical but stable condition.
