Brrr! Floods, snow forecast as severe weather expected to hit Eastern Cape and KZN

DURBAN - Severe weather warnings are in place for Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.

An Orange Level 6 warning for disruptive rainfall is in place for areas between Kugompo City and Port Edward.

Flooding of roads, bridges and settlements, as well as damage to infrastructure, is expected.

Snowfall is also forecast over the north-eastern high-lying areas of the province, where traffic and service interruptions are expected in isolated communities.

Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal is under Yellow Level 4 and 2 warnings for disruptive rainfall. Localised flooding is expected in parts of the province.

Motorists and residents are urged to exercise extreme caution.
