Cape of Storms | 11 missing fishermen presumed dead

CAPE TOWN - The South African Maritime Safety Authority is conducting investigations into what could have led to the sinking of a vessel carrying 20 crew members in Cape Town on Friday.

Eleven fishermen have now been presumed dead after their vessel capsized about 30 nautical miles from Hout Bay.

The nine survivors will be questioned as part of the investigations.

Their employer, Sea Harvest, says the vessel had just returned from servicing.

The company says it will offer financial support to affected families.
