JOHANNESBURG - Police Minister Senzo Mchunu says they are hoping the debris will assist in discovering what happened to three police officers.
The three police constables who were reported missing have been found dead in the Hennops River in Centurion.
Authorities say parts of the vehicle they were travelling in have now been discovered, pointing towards them being involved in a vehicle accident.
Divers revealed that they detected an object that is likely to be a vehicle in the Hennops River.
The object in question was detected four kilometres away from the scene.
Heavy equipment will be brought in to lift the object when the search resumes on Thursday.
