JOHANNESBURG - Controversial businessman Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala continues his quest for freedom.
He is back at the Alexandra magistrate’s court for his bail application.
Matlala is accused of ordering a hit on his ex-girlfriend, but maintains he is innocent.

He says police are trying to frame him.
Last week, the court heard Matlala has a fraudulent eSwatini identity document.
He has also been implicated in the SAPS corruption scandal.
