JOHANNESBURG - Kwaggafontein Chief Magistrate Tuletu Tonjeni has retired.
Tonjeni had presided over Joe 'Ferrari' Sibanyoni’s initial court appearance last month.
She struck the matter off the roll after the prosecutor did not turn up for the proceedings.
Tonjeni's last day in office was on Friday.

On Sunday, the NPA indicated that it was still awaiting reasons from Tonjeni as to why she found State Prosecutor Mkhuseli Ntaba in contempt and struck the matter off the roll.
The NPA is yet to have a response or a date for its appeal.
The matter regarding Tonjeni is also before the Magistrate’s Commission.
The Sibanyoni case was re-enrolled in Delmas a week later.
