CAPE TOWN - The Department of Correctional Services surprised parolees in Mitchells Plain with a late-night visit to see if they were abiding by their parole conditions.
The blitz operation focused on parolees sentenced for gender-based violence and femicide.
Of the 29 parolees visited, 10 were found to be non-compliant.
National Commissioner of Correctional Services, Makgothi Thobakgale, warned all parolees to stick to their parole conditions or risk being sent right back to jail.
