JOHANNESBURG - Cross-examination in the attempted murder trial involving alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala resumes in the High Court in Johannesburg.
The court has heard testimony over the controversial arrest of alleged hitman Musa Kekana.
Police say Kekana was not assaulted and voluntarily consented to a search of his property.

This contradicts the defence's claims that officials acted unlawfully and failed to explain his rights.
The trial within a trial will determine if key evidence, including firearms and cellphone records, can be admitted.
Matlala and his four co-accused have pleaded not guilty to the attempted hits.
