PIETERMARITZBURG - The IEC official accused of stealing ballot boxes in Pietermaritzburg during the 2024 general elections has been found not guilty.
Musawenkosi Mnikathi was serving as an area manager in Imbali at the time.
The uMkhonto weSizwe Party accused him of transporting ballot boxes without police supervision.
Mnikathi initially applied to have the charges withdrawn, but the court ruled he had a case to answer.
