GQEBERHA - The inquest into the deaths of the Cradock 4 gets underway in Gqeberha.
Families of Fort Calata, Matthew Goniwe, Sparrow Mkhonto and Sicelo Mhlauli hope to finally get answers.
This is the third inquest since the four anti-apartheid activists were abducted and murdered in 1985.
The first inquest in 1987 found the Cradock four were killed by 'unknown persons'.
A second in 1994 concluded police murdered the four, but no names were revealed.
The TRC denied amnesty to six apartheid police officers who had applied for an official pardon.
But no one has been prosecuted for the murders.
Justice Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi is set to attend the opening of the third inquest.
