DA announces eight of its 30 WC mayoral candidates

CAPE TOWN - DA leader John Steenhuisen announced on Wednesday that he would not be seeking re-election when his term ends in April.

But who will succeed him?

The party is keeping mum on this, saying only time will tell.

The nomination period opens later this month.

In the meantime, the party announced its first phase of Western Cape mayoral candidates for the local government elections.
