DA gears up for elective conference as Steenhuisen bows out

JOHANNESBURG - John Steenhuisen’s reign as the Democratic Alliance’s Federal Leader ends this weekend.

Steenhuisen has been at the helm since 2019 and has faced personal and political turbulent times.

In February, he announced that he would not seek re-election during this weekend’s federal congress in Johannesburg.

Leaving the leadership race wide open.
