JOHANNESBURG - The DA wants to reclaim the City of Gold.
It's beginning the process of interviewing Joburg mayoral candidates ahead of the local government elections.
Party veteran and former leader Helen Zille is among those candidates.
The former Western Cape Premier announced last month she's considering running for the metro's top job.

She's currently the DA's federal council chairperson.
Other candidates jostling for power include Joburg caucus leader Belinda Kayser-Echeozonjoku.
They will be interviewed by the DA's Electoral College.
The economic hub has been experiencing a myriad of problems and lack of service delivery.
Zille believes she can fix it.
