PRETORIA - The DA in Gauteng will lay criminal charges against former provincial health Chief Financial Officer Lerato Madyo.
This is in connection with the killing of whistleblower Babita Deokaran.
The party says she failed to act on Deokaran’s report of corruption at Tembisa hospital.
It accuses her as a prime suspect who could have tipped off the mastermind behind the murder.
About R2-billion in public funds has been looted through tender scams at the hospital.
Provincial party leadership will open the case at the Johannesburg Central Police Station.
