JOHANNESBURG - Motorists are being warned to avoid the Diepkloof Interchange.
The JMPD says it's responding to reports of protests and the looting of trucks.
The N12 East and Westbound at the split with the N1 have been closed.
The N1 North and Southbound at the split with the N12 have also been closed.
The JMPD is warning of dangerous driving conditions.
It says drivers are making U-turns and travelling against the traffic flow to escape the protests.
Motorists are advised to use the Golden Highway and Rand Show Road instead.
