Dobsonville rape case postponed to 1 July

JOHANNESBURG - The case against a Dobsonville church leader accused of raping a 12-year-old girl has been postponed to 1 July.

The 58-year-old man appeared briefly at the Roodepoort Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

He was arrested after the video of the aftermath went viral in April.

It is said that the electricity challenge in the community lured many young children to his home. The children would go to do their homework and research at the church.

The man has since abandoned his bail.
