JOHANNESBURG - Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube has released new draft regulations under the Basic Education Laws Amendment Act.
Parents, teachers, pupils, and schools can now review the proposals and submit feedback before they are finalised.

The drafts cover school governing body elections and operations, state teacher pay, standards for provincial teacher development institutes, and the National Education Information System.
Public comments close on 5 September.
