JOHANNESBURG - The withdrawal of the SADC Mission from the DRC is well underway.
Two convoys have already reached the transit camp.
The Joint Standing Committee on Defence welcomes assurances from senior commanders,
that the mission is on track.

The committee has also accepted assurances that the equipment will be moved to South Africa by sea with the help of private contractors.
It is now awaiting a full exit report, particularly the cost of deployment of SANDF soldiers in Eastern DRC.
