CAPE TOWN - Traffic volumes have spiked in the Western Cape.
More than 23,000 vehicles have passed through the Huguenot Toll Plaza since the start of the Easter long weekend.
This holiday period claims many lives every single year.
But Western Cape authorities are talking tough this time around and promise to come down hard on lawbreakers.
Roadblocks are in place on major highways around the province, including the N1, N2, and N7.
