GQEBERHA - Power cuts are suspended but in Nelson Mandela Bay, officials in the education district offices have been working in the dark for months.
The reason they're back in the dark ages is because the Eastern Cape Education Department owes the municipality millions of rand.
And this isn't the first time the offices have been cut off, with the same thing happening in 2024.
The Eastern Cape education department confirmed that both of their offices in the Nelson Mandela Bay metro had electricity cut off due to non-payment of their municipal bill.
