Eastern Cape floods death toll hits 103

JOHANNESBURG - The death toll from the devastating Eastern Cape floods has now risen to 103, including 32 school children.

The latest victim to be recovered is a five-year-old boy, Oluhle Ntlali.

OR Tambo District remains the hardest hit, with search and recovery efforts still ongoing.

The Eastern Cape Provincial Government says teams are working to support displaced families, with plans in place to build over 1,200 temporary housing units.

MEC Zolile Williams says government remains committed to restoring dignity and stability for all affected.
