Eersterust murders | Six-month wait for family caught in DNA backlog queue

JOHANNESBURG - Life has ground to a halt for a Mamelodi family.

They will have to wait six months to find out if a body found in Eersterust is their daughter.

The Kunene family believes her body is among the five found near a railway line in the Pretoria East suburb.

They are pleading with officials to speed up the process.

Four bodies that were found along this railway track were burnt beyond recognition.

A fifth body, that of Loveness Magabe, was found strangled and buried in a shallow grave in the same area.
