EDENVALE - A father and his four-year-old son have died after a massive fire destroyed their Eden Glen home.
Emergency Management Services responded to the double-storey house blaze on Collins Street.
Fire crews from Edenvale, Primrose, and Bedfordview found the upper floor completely engulfed, with the roof already collapsed.
They contained the blaze, saving seven rooms on the lower level, but four upstairs bedrooms were completely gutted.
During search operations, teams discovered the bodies of the man, in his fifties, and his young son.
The man’s nine-year-old daughter was the only survivor. She escaped unharmed and is being cared for by neighbours.
