JOHANNESBURG - Rolling blackouts have been reduced to Stage 2 until further notice.
Eskom says the reduction follows the successful recovery of eight out of ten generation units.
This comes after the country was plunged into Stage 6 over the weekend.
Eskom says while recovery of emergency reserves is progressing well, further replenishment is needed.
Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has promised the system will be stabilised by the end of the week.
