CAPE TOWN - Flames have broken out on the slopes of Table Mountain.
Emergency crews are battling a fire above Kloofnek Corner.
As a precaution, visitors are being evacuated from the Lower Cableway Station.
Firefighters, SANParks rangers and Volunteer Wildfire Services are working to contain the blaze.
Several hiking trails have also been closed, and motorists are being urged to avoid Tafelberg Road.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
