The National Coloured Congress leader has also previously opened a criminal case against National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola.

He accused Masemola of nepotism within the South African Police Services. He alleged that the SAPS was being turned into an 'employment agency for families' under certain senior officers.

The complaint against Masemola came days after Adams opened a perjury case against Mkhwanazi.
