JOHANNESBURG - The family of a 29-year-old woman who died at Cartrack’s Rosebank offices in Johannesburg is demanding answers.
Gcina Dhladhla reportedly told her supervisor she was unwell , but continued working.
The family alleges the employer allowed her to go and buy pain medication, instead of allowing to leave.
Dhladhla later collapsed and died at the office. Her loved ones say they were not immediately informed.
They are questioning the handling of the situation, including delays in contacting paramedics.
The family further claims that Dhladhla had previously raised concerns about her working conditions.
They say that she once received a warning letter despite submitting a medical certificate for her sick leave.
Cartrack has denied claims that Dhladhla was prevented from going home after falling ill.
