JOHANNESBURG - The festive season has officially begun, but Gauteng police are not taking a break.
Commissioner Tommy Mthombeni says Operation Shanela operations will continue throughout the season.

Police will engage in stop and search operations and visibility will be increased.
The operations include ongoing undercover drug busts to help counter the significant drug abuse problem in the country.
