KUGOMPO CITY - Victims’ families in the Enyobeni tavern tragedy which claimed 21 young lives still hope someone will be held criminally liable.
The final heads of argument at the Inquest are expected to wrap up on Tuesday.
The victims were among hundreds gathered at the tavern in KuGompo City, drinking until the early hours of the morning.
The inquest, which began in July 2024, is now at the final stage.
A lawyer for the families has described the incident as catastrophic, saying had the tavern's owners enforced stricter security measures and adhered to the Liquor Board's regulations, the tragedy would not have occurred.
