Five arrested for business burglary, damage to property in KZN

DURBAN - Five people, aged between 14 and 27, have been arrested in connection with a business burglary and malicious damage to property in KwaZulu-Natal. 

eNCA understands that police responded to an early morning break-in at a tuck shop in the Woody Glen area of Mpumalanga township on Tuesday, 30 June.

One suspect was arrested inside the premises, while four others were cornered by police as they attempted to flee. The group is expected to appear in court soon.

In a statement, KZN police urged residents who will embark on marches to refrain from acts of violence, criminal activities and intimidation. 

"As much as police are out there to safeguard the marches, they will be enforcing the law and no lawlessness will be tolerated," read the statement.
