CAPE TOWN - Steenberg police in Cape Town have arrested five suspects for the kidnapping and rape of a 25-year-old e-hailing driver.
Police have alleged the victim was lured to meet a woman he had met through his e-hailing business, before being kidnapped and held for ransom.
His brother was contacted and told to pay R4000 for his release.
Police tracked the victim using his vehicle tracker and found him in Heathfield.
Two women, aged 23 and 34, and three men aged 16, 42 and 48 have been arrested.
They're expected to appear in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
