JOHANNESBURG - A family of five has died in a shack fire in Ekurhuleni.
The blaze broke out at Steve Biko Informal Settlement in Etwatwa.
Disaster management teams found a five-room shack engulfed by flames.
Five family members -- a father, mother and three children -- were declared dead on scene.
The teenager who survived was asleep in another room outside the shack.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
