PRETORIA - The Madlanga Commission resumes on Thursday, with Gauteng traffic police chief inspector Samuel Mashaba back in the hot seat.
The inquiry continues to hear evidence into drug busts and related allegations of wrongdoing and criminality.
The focus is still on the Aeroton bust in Johannesburg. During the operation, police seized over 700 kilograms of cocaine worth around 300-million rand. It's alleged Crime Intelligence officer Feroz Khan interfered with the operation.
Hawks investigators said Mashaba and another officer intercepted a shipping container of cocaine from Brazil for an undisclosed purpose, deviating from established official protocol.
