JOHANNESBURG - The Constitutional Court will on Monday decide the future of how millions of South Africans receive their social grants.
The court is set to decide if South African Postbank SOC Limited should be granted an interim order blocking SASSA from ending their payment services deal.
At the heart of the case is the Master Services Agreement, set up to protect beneficiaries from bank fees and unauthorised deductions.
SASSA insists grants will keep flowing, even if the agreement ends.
But Postbank warns millions could lose crucial protections and face new banking costs.
