JOHANNESBURG - An alleged gangster is expected to appear at the Boksburg Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
He was arrested in connection with the murder of two anti-gang unit officers in Reiger Park.
The officers were shot while responding to another shooting in which two women were killed.
The 23-year-old was arrested following a multi-disciplinary tracing operation.
Two R5 rifles were also recovered at KwaDukathole Informal Settlement.
The suspect, who is allegedly a known gangster, was out on bail at the time of his arrest.
Police say he has several pending cases, including two murders, two attempted murders and possession of an unlicensed firearm.
Investigations are still ongoing, and more arrests are expected.
