JOHANNESBURG - Gauteng faces a frustrating pothole problem as more and more routes deteriorate faster than they can be fixed.
The provincial government claims to have fixed nearly 40,000 potholes, but motorists say it is a drop in the ocean.
And most of the work done is just a quick fix and is always of substandard quality.
Cash-strapped municipalities are buckling under this crisis.
