Gaza ceasefire | First hostages freed under US-brokered deal

GAZA CITY - US President Donald Trump has arrived in Israel, armed with a 20-point peace plan and a bold declaration that the war is over.

The first seven Israeli hostages have been freed from Gaza, with 13 more hostages being transferred from Hamas captivity.

The hostages are being exchanged for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners being held by Israel.

President Trump is meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and will address the Knesset before travelling to Egypt for a peace summit involving 20 world leaders.

As part of the agreement, the US has committed to establishing a new international “Board of Peace” to oversee Gaza’s recovery and long-term rebuilding.
