JOHANNESBURG - Alleged Thembisa serial rapist Sipho Phiri is expected to take the stand at the Gauteng High Court sitting in Benoni.
The 39-year-old is accused of raping at least 37 women and girls between 2018 and 2023.
Even though some of the complainants were minors, Phiri claims sex with them was consensual.
It's alleged that the former Prasa security guard's modus operandi was to offer the women a lift home in his car.
He would then allegedly draw his gun, drive to a secluded area and rape them.
Phiri faces 114 counts ranging from rape and holding his victims hostage, to defeating the ends of justice.
