JOHANNESBURG - Deputy Police Minister Dr Polly Boshielo says more money is needed to fight gender-based violence.
But, she says she understands that government has other priorities.
Boshielo says money is needed for more resources to ensure more effective prosecutions.
"In terms of the conviction, in the last quarter, we had about 1,700 convictions.
"We need more budget," she said.
