Government welcomes sentencing in Joshlin Smith case

PRETORIA - Government has welcomed the sentencing in the Joshlin Smith case.

Kelly Smith, along with her co-accused Jacquen Appollis and Steveno van Rhyn, have been sentenced to life imprisonment for human trafficking and 10 years for kidnapping.

Smith went missing from her Middelpos home in February last year.

Her mother, Kelly Smith, claimed she was too sick to go to school at the time.

Despite the life sentences handed down to the trio, the child's location is yet to be known.
