PRETORIA - A protest has erupted outside the Madlanga Commission in Bridget Mabandla Justice College on Tuesday morning.
It is unclear at this stage what the protest is about, however demonstrators belong to the Municipal Employees & Civil Servants Union (MECSU)
Head of Communications Jeremy Michales has noted the demonstration outside the building.
He said they have not received any application for a protest.
In light of this, Michaels affirms that they will not tolerate any disruptions to proceedings and that those who are protesting will not be allowed inside.
“We have constantly encouraged members of the public to ensure that if they do attend the proceedings, they are welcomed, but they can not be disruptive. I can say with confidence that, that grouping in their regalia will not be allowed inside the hall,” he said.
This action comes as the commission enters phase two testimonies, where implicated individuals will be testifying.
Currently on the witness stand is controversial North West businessman Brown Mogotsi.
