PRETORIA - The Hawks have gunned down three suspects in a shootout in Mamelodi East in Tshwane.
They were acting on a tip-off about a gang allegedly in possession of illegal firearms.
When officers moved in, the suspects opened fire.
Police retaliated, killing three, while one escaped.
