CAPE TOWN - ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba said it’s time for real consequences for those involved in corruption.
Mashaba has warned that South Africa is at a critical point and must confront corruption head-on.
The party unveiled a comprehensive anti-corruption reform package in Cape Town.
“South Africa has reached a point where we have only two choices: we either defeat corruption or corruption will defeat South Africa,” he said.

“That is why in every first press conference in this parliament, ActionSA made a promise to the people of this country. We will introduce legislation designed to break the back of corruption.”
He said the party’s parliamentary team had worked tirelessly to develop the comprehensive anti-corruption reform package, and over the coming months, ActionSA will introduce the three remaining major pieces of legislation as part of our anti-corruption reform package.
“Today, we present the next bill in that package. Legislation designed to ensure that corruption finally carries real consequences. Not excuses, not endless commissions or Ad hoc committees, but consequences, because the time for talking about corruption, it's over. The time for jailing the corruption, corrupt has arrived.”
