JOHANNESBURG - The case against a Mozambican woman accused of trafficking and assaulting two boys has been postponed to 2 September.
She appeared in the Roodepoort magistrate's court amid the community's allegations that she had smuggled the boys into the country and forced them to sell vegetables in Dobsonville, Soweto.
The boys, aged 14 and 17, have since been taken to a place of safety as authorities attempt to locate their families.
After months of being forced to work, the suspect was arrested on Friday, and the teens finally escaped.
Community members say that whether the children were in the country legally or not, they had a right to safety.
