Humansdorp community demands justice for triple murder victims

HUMANSDORP - The community of Humansdorp in the Eastern Cape has handed over a petition opposing bail for the suspect in a triple murder case.

The victims, aged between 29 and 35 years, were killed on 21 December as they were heading home from a traditional gathering.

The suspect was arrested the following day and charged with murder.

The distraught families want the suspect to remain in jail without bail.

He's charged with the murders of 29-year-old Alexzane Hans, 30-year-old Raymond Fortuin and 35-year-old  Roshaan-Bramwill Gouda.

After the court hearing, family members visited the spot where their loved ones took their last breath.

The court denied the media permission to film proceedings and postponed the matter to 22 January for a bail decision.
