JOHANNESBURG - Concern is mounting over worsening humanitarian conditions outside the Malawi Consulate in Johannesburg.
Hundreds of citizens hoping to return home remain stranded. Aid groups say families, including newborn babies and young children, are braving freezing temperatures with limited access to food, clean water and sanitation.
And the number of people seeking repatriation continues to grow. Volunteers and NGOs have criticised Malawian authorities for their lack of response.
They are accusing the government of failing to provide adequate support, leaving vulnerable families with no clear timeline for their return home.
